The 90s rap era was all about being political and gangster rap, the political side were rappers like ice cube who said in a live interview that he is a reporter of the streets and tells people how it is with white privelage and police brutality and he used the news as a technological platform to get his words across. With technology improving rappers were also promoting gangster life styles though tv and radio platforms which eventaly lead to the despute between the USA's east and west cost over who has the better rapper which led to the deaths of 2pac and the Notorious B.I.G because of their desputes being on media platforms like the radio and tv programs also the same result led to big L's death in 1999. Half a decade in the 2010s rap music was really making a loud impact with artists like Eminem featuring Rhianna on his songs and other rappers collaborating with singers and pop stars, also new faces like Kendrick Lamar, J.Cole, Hopsin, Macklemore entering the music industry and starting a new generation or lyricist and lyrical rap. 2015+ a new generation of rappers started a genre called mumble rap where they use a hard bass and melody and the artist mumbles and slurs the lyrics in the background of the beat, this genre of rap is still present till date and is evolving.
Introduction and impact of auto tune
Any technical advances in the music industry, happen in the late 60s for an example The Beatles were well know for these advances, this was how there were so popular, and still today well known artists. One of the albums which had some many advances SGT peppers, Lucy In the sky with Diamonds use a huge amount of ADT (Automatic Double Tracking) which in the times when Beatles were adding two CDS into one which we hear from the echo. Now when you get into unique music genres for an example Synthwave, this genre didn't get into the consumer world until late 2000s which add many advances from the Beatles, Which links to laptops and computers evolving. This inspired into different strands or the umbrella effect which help create dance music, remixes, and radio edits. Many music genres now cross for example the Weeknd blinding Light which is Synthwave and soul. Auto Tune become popular in 1997, which uses a device that alters pitch between vocals and instruments during performances and recording should as 24K gold by Bruno Mars.

Social Media, has a big impact on the music industry to the present day. In late 70s, The music industry was no longer just on radio, they're were on television (MTV), the famous song came into the consumer world called Video killed the radio star. This is very ironic. Soon as new media was invented (Social Media and Podcast, etc.) music artists are now creating a fan-base which help them directly contact the consumers of the music world. Another idea is the use of music platforms to play the desired artist, as many offer free services to play the singles instead of buying the hard discs or records. The impact social media and music has on its audiences is multiple there is bad good and ugly depending on the subject and criteria also how people respond to the information on their screen. the way people respond to trends made by music artists and internet influences there are people that take this influence and make a positive out of it and support and help others and there is audiences that mock the trend and the people and give them a hard time online by bullying and mocking the other people for doing it wrong or simply feeling alienated and not fitting in.
