Chosen idea
this is my brain storm of ideas relevant to the digital age my theme of digital age will be music and how technology and music artists and influencers changed the genre of rap and the impact it has on audiences from different age groups. this relates to main stream media, social media and streaming platforms like youtube for a example in the 80s and 90s rappers were promoting the reality of life and positive things like making it out the hood and leaving drugs and violence behind and start working as communities full of people going through the same everyday struggles and those artist had to work 10 times harder to reach their goals because there was no youtube, Spotify, Soundcloud or any streaming platforms like that its was just records and radio time these days artists and social media influencers to spread messages to their fans but its not quite good because its like following the crowd and trends and people tend to think that thats a good thing because of living in the digital age and with todays music and the artists promoting gangs and drug and alcohol abuse and young people and adults see this on social media platforms like snapchat, Facebook, Instagram and twitter and do the same this is really negative in the long run because it causes mental health problems in the long run and the audiences are stuck in a loop of drug and alcohol abuse while still listening to the artists voice of influence this relates to my chosen idea because it shows the negative impacts it has on people living in the digital age because of following the crowds on streaming and social media platforms. i want to also talk about how the digital age spoiled the rap genre by introducing auto tune and mumble rap to the game. my idea relates to all those things because music is a powerful influencer and its everywhere especially in the digital age with all the social media and and streaming platforms. but its not all negative there is artists that use the digital age and the influence on social media to unite people and make peace.
